visit to St. Lawrence Island

Here are some pictures from St. Lawrence Island. Gay and I flew out first to Gambell (where we overnighted) then to Savoonga the next day. I was presenting information on native subsistence foods. It was a nice trip. These villages are really interesting and different from Barrow. They eat almost 100% marine mammals...everything is the store is ridiculously expensive. Anyhow, everything went well after some difficulty getting into Nome, and I got back to Barrow last night.
