A few more of Annie's photos

Well, tooth number 11 is breaknig through and Gage was in a bit of a rough mood today... sure doesn't slow down his eating, though! Mt. Redoubt erupted this morning and planes in and out of Barrow were cancelled...so, we will see if we get to Fairbanks this weekend! PS- am including a REAL polar bear picture (a mom and two cubs) that we saw not far up the road from our house on Saturday...

Yeah Annie :)

Alright--- Annie took some wonderful pictures of Gage this afternoon...and from the looks of it, he was in JUST the right mood for hamming it up for some pictures. I am adding one now, some others later. Other updates: he is saying "ta da" today and signing cat. :)

Gage's first Haircut

Well, Gage just had a bath and a haircut! He was getting pretty long on the sides, so I did a quick trim...despite dad protests...He was pretty good, but VERY wiggly. He can now say "night night" (kinda sounds like nah nah) and apparently started signing "yes" today. Ken thinks we need to get some "Signing Time" videos for at home, cos' apparently he LOVES them over at Annies!

Appetite!

Well, Gage's appetite is back. In fact, he really impressed a visitor this weekend. Mike Ziessrl (sp?) was up to do some work out on the ice and he has a 3 year old son that is not a good eater...which I suppose made it all the more impressive! Yes, Gage was just pigging out! He tried a bunch of new things this weekend: cauliflower (yum), asparagus (yuck), snap peas (yum) and shrimp (yum). He will now eat a whole peice of pizza, cut in strips, and then some! But he is so active and interested in getting into everything that I think he just works it right off.

And the other big surprise: Ken was swinging him upside down on Saturday morning and spied more teeth! Yes, he has another upper molar totally through...so now he has 10 teeth and an 11th about to erupt. I think he is producing these teeth so to better chew all this food he is eating!

Friday night we went to a spaghetti feed for the Barrow High School Band. It was kind of bad food and knd of bad music, but Gage loved it and was rocking out! It was pretty funny. These pictures are from that night :)

Eatin' yogurt :)

A quick movie :) He has been mesmerized with us blowing on things lately...like the bear mobile...but now pretty much anything, as long as it moves when you blow on it... the plants, the balloons, the cat...
Well, sorry guys...the movie appears to just be too darn big for this site...I will do another post in its place....

Gage and dad

Here are a few pictures from tonight...hopefully a movie to follow :)

After a rough start to the weekend, Gage is feeling MUCH better. Here is a picture from this evening...he is reprogramming the phone :) We had a much more mellow weekend than antipated and now appear to have another storm kicking up...otherwise, hopefullyGage will be back at 100% soon.

Gage has a huge appetite

Well, he is eating us out of house and home. He has grown so much just in the last two weeks-- and it is no wonder! I am consistently amazed. He eats about as much as Ken and I do! Sometimes more! Annie says he crawls around a lot during the day and works it off, but it is still a little disconcerting. Tonight, he ate a full dinner of corned beef, green beans, a whole orange, a half cup of pastene and chicken broth, parsnips and carrots (which he didn't like AT ALL = severe rejection....it went flying!), and peach puffs for dessert. Then we cleaned him off and let him down when we thought he was done and he went over and got into the organic fruit box and started eating an apple!!! Pretty amazing. I just cannot imagine how his stomach could be that big--- it seems like an orange would fill it alone! Otherwise, he is doing well. Signing like crazy and just very active. We have yet ANOTHER blizzard coming in tomorrow...so....we will see how things go for the rest of the week. I see shoveling in our future...

Pictures form Siena

So, here are some pictures: I am going to make two posts. The first is from Italy. These pictures are mostly from Siena. It is a very beautiful, walled city, much smaller than Florence and easily walkable in a day. It has a great central "sqaure" called Il Campo and it is surrounded by a maze of streets and shops etc. Il Duomo is the big church (it was supposed to be 5X larger, but the black death decimated the population). Anyhow, enjoy the pics. The next post is ALL GAGE :)
