Ken's trip out on the ice and a couple Gage pics

Ken took the snowmachine out on the sea ice this evening with Craig and some folks from Canada. It has been really warm here and the ice is rotten and unpredictable, so I am happy he is back safe and sound :) Here are some pics...there is a whale census going on- meaning, that folks from the department are out on the ice counting the whales that migrate by in the lead. However, since (as you can see) there is no lead right now...basically, the lead is choked with ice and slush...it is really tough to see the whales... :(
