rolligon at the gas handling facility out cakeeater road. i heard a new explanation of how cakeeater road got it's name last weekend..from a ship...like titantic..apparently a few roads in barrow are named after ships...?
















long billed dowitcher. took fisher for a drive tonight and checked out the snow melt status...it's melting. there are big lakes where in a few weeks there will only be tundra and little puddles. while more photos were taken of other birds..this one was close to the road so it made it onto this thing. tonight i saw king eider, stellar's eider, a tundra swan, red phalarope, plover...a few other little sandpipers.. semipalmated?

and the snow buntings hanging out by their house. i hung another bird house on sunday evening and monday after work, there was already grass in it..so now we've got two bird houses that are being used.
